Qualified Prospects Are Not Automatically Interested Buyers

Relevance Comes First
A researched company can be relevant because of its product range, applications, location or business model. These are useful qualification signals, but they do not prove that the company wants to buy from you.
Define What Qualification Means
Before research starts, agree the company types, applications, markets and selection criteria that matter to your business. Documenting those criteria makes the research useful and easier to review.
- Identify the types of companies that can use, distribute or specify your product.
- Check the business activity and target geography.
- Record the reason each company fits your profile.
- Separate research relevance from responses received during outreach.
Establish Actual Interest Through Conversation
Interest needs evidence, such as a relevant reply, a request for information or a conversation about your offer. Even then, interest is not a completed sale. Keep research status and response status separate in your database.
SalesChit’s Approach
SalesChit provides structured research and prospecting support. We describe researched companies as potential prospects, not interested buyers unless actual interest has been established.
